I have a Toshiba DVD Video Recorder (D-R2 is the model) and it can burn DVD-R's and RW's but only DVD-. Is there any software or anything I can use to convert the -R's to +R's so they can play on regular DVD players. If I put the burnt media from the recorder into my DVD-rom drive it doesn't see it, but it sees it on my DVD RW drive but it doesn't show any media it just says the DVD and how much is burned on it. Do I need to upgrade my firmware to see it or get any software or what?
    Thanks

As far as I know you cannot do this, you can change a DVD+R to become DVD-Rom, but you are stuck with the -R.
After you record your -R are you finalizing your discs to make them read only, if this is NOT done then your standalone player cannot read them.
