My new PC won't boot properly unless I disconnect the USB Hard Drive that once contained the windows instal;lation on my old system. I've already deleted that drive's windows directory and moved most of my isgnficant data, but that doesn't seem to help. I'm tempted to simply copy the reamaining things to a special directory on my main drive 9if there's room), fromat the drive, and move it back. Is there a less extreme option that'll do the job?
maybe, during boot up, go to your bio's settings. Check to make sure the USB drive is not in the boot order. I think what is going on is that USB drive was your active drive (boot), so your computer might be picking up on that and trying to boot from it.
