    Hello,
I tried using the search fllyunction to help with my question, but I couldn't really figure it out

I tried buring an ISO to DVD but I got this error about half way through. Here's the logfile.

Fro looking through the old topics I think I may need to update my firmware? If I do, what's my CD-Drive name?

sorry for lack of technical terms. I am useless with computers :(

    Hi Sam,
You need to edit out your two nero serial numbers at the top of the log you posted, right below "your company name".

I could not find specific firmware for your drive, I did find a "Firmware Update Tool" though.

Go here and see if this applies to you. Don't worry about the DVD-RAM info. Just see if you have one of these laptops. If so, use the firmware tool.

Your first error occured as soon as the burn process started, this tells me it is more of a Nero problem than a media or burner problem.

You should run the Nero Registry Checker and Driver Clean tools. See if that helps. Find them here. Read the directions please.

If that dosen't work then a removal, run the clean tool and reinstall may work.

Still you should go for a firmware update. Also go over to the DVD media forum( http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/47 ) and see what other folks are using. I like Taiyo Yuden.
