anyway to make dvd burner read dvd-r

    my dvd burner reads dvd+r fine but i have a surplus of dvd-r i would like to use up for movies and some back-ups...its the stock dvd burner that came with my hp computer ty in advance

    It is most likely the brand of DVD-R's that you have. Try updating your firmware for you burner.

    Also, is your DVD burner +/- compatible? if it is a DVD+RW only then it will not work.
