hey, ok im not great with computers so if ya guys can help me u gotta make it simple! hee hee! im just so bad with them.. they crash for no reason on me! its a curse!..

anyway to my question. i'm making a birthday dvd for my sister and i wanna put all these video files on them by a singer called ani difranco. i have a big concert (its like 100,000) and lots of small videos (all in different types like .avi and .mpg and .wmv) and i want to put these all together on a dvd. i have nero but it only lets me do this on VCDs and i can only fit like twenty mins of video on them.. which sux. i want to be able to put all the different types of video on the one dvd and put stuff like chapters and the like on it.

just an easy programme thats free.. or i can get a trial and see first (underage, no credit card!).

    thanks u guys!

If you are using nero, you can do this by going to Nero Vision Express, or on the Smart Start menu click make your own DVD-Video.

I have used this program to convert .AVI, Mpeg4, etc... to DVD format, and it allows you to create menus, animated buttons, etc...

    @ johnnybom :

you will need to use a converter to change those files from there current format to that of mpeg2.

The converter i suggest for you isnt nero, but you will be able to utilise your nero to burn your project.Click the link below, this free version of divx to dvd will be able to do your avi/mpeg files.

    http://www.filepedia.com/video_software/dvd-r_tools/vso_divxtodvd_free.cfm

All you need to do is load the same type of files together as a batch or singular and then press the convert button.Depending on how resourced our pc is will affect the time for the conversion

see how you go and post back with your issues
