AfterDawn.com has been updated! In addition to renewing the layout of the site we have also speeded up things considerably. The new version has been tested on our Finnish site for several months, and during the testing we have managed to improve the new version even further.

You can now enjoy this new layout at English AfterDawn.com and English Discussion Forums as well! We have also introduced new sections to the site, and re-arranged things a bit.

Xbox 360 q's

#1 16 Apr 2006 @ 9:03
Im going to buy an xbox 360 but before i do i want to know a couple of things about it.
1. Can you use a xbox wireless adapter for the original xbox to connect the xbox 360 to live?
2. can you use the games from the original xbox on the xbox 360?

i was wondering as well if you could use the original but you could defenitely play "some" original xbox games on the 360. here is the list of playable games:

Good Point lckillah.....you can play SOME-all of the essential games such as Halo2 and stuff are covered. But do keep in mind this list is updated constantly as the xbox 360 team has a department just for emulating the old xbox games. Be Patient and ideally most of the games will be backcompat in the future.

Also iownaxbox, i never owned a live enable xbox but i know that with the 360 the wireless adapter connects via usb.....and the 360 has a special place for the adapter to fit. This makes the 360 look slicker then ever. I would suggest buying the new adapter. SO-if the xbox 1 adapter runs via usb then it will work, may not look the coolest but thats why the 360 one is a tad more expensive.

i dont know what to tell you. my guess is that it is a scam and that you could probably find the information online for free. But your right that its only 2 bucks so if it sucks you really didn't lose much.

do you know for a fact that you cannot use the xbox wireless adapter with the xbox 360?
#13 18 Apr 2006 @ 17:55
anyone want the link? pm me and i'll send it to you. i don't have a wireless network card so i would like to see if this is working or not.
#14 18 Apr 2006 @ 18:02
actually i read the guide entirely. it's crap. you have to share connection with the pc using the ethernet cable. not wireless at all. basically it works out like this: you need a wireless network adapter for your computer and assuming that you are far away from your router, you then could share internet connection using the ethernet cable by pugging the ethernet adapter to the pc. so to make story short, you still need a cable. bullcrap....

calazon Suspended due non-functional email address
linksys makes a portable wireless adapter for anything that has an ethernet input/output. its made for going to hotels and such, works well.
