I hope this is the right forum. I have an avi of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Gspot tells me I have a framerate of 24fps. I can get the video to come out great with CCE SP but cannot get the audio to sync. I have tried VitrualDub to multiplex I used video frame rate control and changed the video to 30fps and the sound seemed synced however I can't save this new avi in direct stream copy. How can I sync audio from a 24fps source with a dvd compliant mpeg at 29.976?

I've never used gspot so not sure about that but in my experience I have used the audio correction in TMPGEnc with success, also I allow my file to be demuxed when authoring so that the vid separates from the audio. In my authoring software I have some audio options such as to transcode to AC3, I generally dont get any problems going from PAL (25fps) to NTSC (29fps) or vice versa. Cant guarantee it'll work but it's worth a try. I use DVD Lab Pro to author or make dvd compliant.

All you need is 3:2 pulldown. Problem solved.
