Anyone heard about a replacement for the Epson R800? It's been on the market since 2003! I wish Epson would upgrade this model to a printer that uses the new K3 UltraChrome ink. Epson doesn't offer a printer with this new ink and CD/DVD printability.

Looks unlikely that they will bother producing a printer with the K3 inks that also does CD/DVD.
That ink is really geared towards professional end photo printers not general users.

You might be right, but hopefully not. I think it's somewhat likely that they will come up with an A4/8.5x11 printer with K3 ink. They did it with the 8-Color UltraChrome Hi-Gloss Ink and the larger scale R1800 which is geared toward a pro printer then the R800 which uses the 8-Color UltraChrome Hi-Gloss Ink. Both the R1800 and the R800 have CD/DVD printability. They will surely replace the R800 with something eventually. Guess I will just keep my fingers crossed.
