Ok, I'm going to get a few VCD's.....probably not copy protected. Am I going to be able to copy this with my CLONE DVD?? Is it just a simple load it and go?

not a good idea to do this, where are you geting the vcd"s from? if you made them from a dvd just use the dvd to make a backup, vcd"s are very low quailty, not worth the time to convert them

    hello
vcd's dont have the correct format for dvd disk

you will need to convert them first,by extracting the mpeg from them
then you can convert the mpeg into vob's etc and burn the result to dvd disk

    hope this helps!!!!

    cheers!

What sfotware would I use to convert them?

They are stock market instructional videos off ebay. I don't know why it's not on dvd. I was just going to back them up and I wanted to be sure I could play them anywhere I went.

    hello

you can play vcd's on some dvd players

if you want to convert them, there a few ways you can do this, one of which is...

    apps required

    isobuster
    convertxtodvd

1)insert vcd into drive, and open it with isobuster,on the right hand side you will see a list, right click on the mpeg folder, and extract the mpeg from it
    2)close isobuster
    3)open convertxtodvd,and go to settings/encoding/target size/custom/enter value 4300 mb
4)then on same settings page encoding/quality speed...> set to high quality/slow encoding
    5)then finally settings/burning .. set to speed @ x 4
6)place a dvd disk in the dvd burner
7)then just drag and drop the mpeg into the main window, and click convert
    8)wait a while,(1-2 hrs approx,depending on your pc specs)
(it takes me about 3/4 hr in total, but i have a high spec tower)

    hope this helps

    cheers!!
