So I have a Link Sys WRK 54 G V1.1 and it is going in the trash. I spent some time working with guys here(on another board), and proabbly 5 hour total with LinkSys. Everything was fine when we had a wired and wirless conection, but due to security reasons, we went wired(RJ 45 Cat 5 Ethernet Cables). Now I have more probs then before.

Most notably is the fact that it took me from a 2Mbps downstream connection, to about ~350 Kbps connection which is ludacris. I have tried evrything from cloning Mac Address to limiting the MTU and nothing. Also tried firmware changes....

So enough ranting but I want a good 2-4 port router, and I suppose that wirless would be nice to have just in case. So what routers do you recomend?

I would recommend 3Com routers, they have always been reliable, very easy to set up and I've never had any issues with the firmware.
    I'm currently using the WL-542.
