There is no unlocking by code for sony ericsson.
It can be unlocked via online server though.

w810 is fully unlockable.
I advise to also flash new firmware R4D005, many features are added and fixed some critical bugs in the software.

I just took it to my to one of those dodgy phone shops in local area. Result - i got phone unlocked for a tener, perfectly working for 3 months now

For the Sony Ericsson W810i the defult passoword is: 0000

Here is how to unlock your Sony Ericson W810i and possibly other SE phones.

1. Ring your network provider, i.e. virgin, vodafone etc, with your IMEI handy.
2. Ask for your unlock codes, some providers charge you, but most are free.
3. They'll give you the codes and instructions on how to use them for your model.
4. Do as they say.

To prove to you that this works, type *,left,*,*,left on the main screen of your phone. A hidden menu will come up where you can put the codes in, but you need the codes first cause if you put them in wrong your phone is screwed.
