I know there have been posts before about this problem, but it appears this may be slightly different. If I do a straight back-up of a movie (DVDDecrypter - DVDShrink - Nero) from an original DVD to a blank DVD, I have no problems playing the 'new' movie on any DVD player. If I attempt to back-up a movie directly from my harddrive (ie VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders are present, I can only play the 'new' DVD on my PC, not on a DVD player. It's hard to blame either the media, or the player, as I can play a regular back-up'd DVD with no problems. The same burner, media, burn speeds, software, and players are being used. All the .VOB, .IFO, .BUP files appear to be present with no problems. I tried to burn using NERO straight up and also tried burning an image of the original using DVDDecrypter. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks Joey_JoJo
you better edit that post before some moderators see it. talking about piracy is against forum rules.
ok...... if you're using DVDDecrypter to rip to the hard drive, then using Shrink to compress, then Nero to burn ........ should be no problem. I don't understand: the first time you rip to the hard drive so you are backing up your DVD to the hard drive and then shrinking the files to fit to a DVDR and burning with Nero. The second time your are ripping to the hard drive with DVDD, right? then what are you doing? explain more please.
