I've learned so much on this site I haven't had to get any help in some time, but I'm stumped now. I have backed up several of my backups (for the kids play room) But I went to do Narnia to day and my drive says The tray is empty, just would not read it with any program I have. Went and put it in a dvd player and it plays fine. went and got another backed up movie and poped it in and it read fine. So what is going on or what did I not do when I copyed the original? Thanks you all

what brand of media did you use for the original back up?
usually problems with backing up back ups are caused by bad/cheap media.

    verbs are good discs.
check the disc for dirt/scratches, even minor scratches (i'm sure you have already)
it may well be that you have a bad verb disc (unusual but i guess it could happen).
the back up has no copy protection so it is not a protection problem.
do you have another dvd burner you can try it on? if not your only option may be to back up from the original again :-(

Yes, I did try my lap top and it did the same thing. Funny thing is it plays in the dvd player flawlessly. One of the few that does'nt have a hickup in it some where.
