Hi guys, this is a very trivial question i think... but i have some files that are .mpg's and i was wondering whether or not they would work if i just burnt them straight onto a dvd? if not wat should i do to them so that i can just pop in the dvd and get it to play?
If you want to play them in your dvd player, the files need to be dvd compliant. Any number of programs will make them so including NeroVision if you have that suite of programs. If they are true mpegs then you can also use TMPG Author, if not, TMPG can be used after making them mpeg compliant or dvd compliant. TMPG has better menuing capabilities imo than NeroVision, but to each his own. mpg usually means a mpeg1 file. Here's a guide for NeroVision: http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/NVE Basics.pdf Nero has a free trial as does TMPG. TMPG Author is here: http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda20.html There are other programs, but these should get you started.

hehe thnx alot... will this work? nero 7? i thought i needed nero vision? im sorry im really stupid when it comes to this stuff
NeroVision is one of the many programs included in the Nero suite. Here's a link to what's included in the download. http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/nero7-demo.php As you can see, Nero Vision 4 is one of the programs.
