I just waisted 3 discs trying to backup mercenary of justice. The first time I tried using just DVD Shrink, the second time running AnyDVD in the background and DVD Shrink again. The 3rd time using DVD Decrypter then DVD Shrink. My DVD player won't recognize any of the discs I made. I didn't get any error or anything when I was burning but my DVD player just keeps saying "reading" Does anyone have any suggestions ?

Okay so i finally gave up after wasting 5 dvds. I was using Imation brand discs. I have a few Sony Discs so I tried one of those for the hell of it. My DVD burner is also made by sony. It's the Sony DRU 710A. The movie works now and I did nothing different. I've used this media before and had no trouble, out of this same spindle too. How bizarre. Does anyone have any insight on what could have happened ?

Quite likely the media. Imation has developed a poor rep lately for not having consistent quality. Download the free app DVD Identifier and install. Put the disc in the burner and click ID. Supply us with the info you get in the window to the left of the ID box. Supply that for the Sony as well.

What burning software was in use?
What's the burn speed you use?
Is your firmware up to date?
Do the problem burned discs play on your PC?
