With AnyDVD you need the latest version which includes a ripper that incorporates FixVTS for compliance processing. The current version is 5.9.5.6. Use the ripper option to be on the safe side and your problems should be solved. http://www.slysoft.com/ full function trial. The free DVDFab Decrypter has been getting good reviews. http://www.dvdidle.com/ Personally, I use AnyDVD + DVD Decrypter (with preferred slysoft settings) and process for compliance with FixVTS as necessary. If you can't find DVDD in the software section here at AD just google, Doom9, MrBass, and other forums still have it.

If you're still having problems, run a read scan to check the source disk.

They do make a dvd that will hold the entire uncompressed movie, it is called a Dual Layer DVD or DVD-9, but I doubt you will want to drop $2 or more each for one. DVD Shrink should be able to compress the movie enough to fit onto a single layer disc. It is a free program and is reletively easy to use.

Since Brobear has got you started with the AnyDVD/DVDDecrypter duo, here is a little guide to help you incorporate DVD Shrink into the mix.

    Enjoy

the point is if ye can not afford to spend 30 dollars ye should not be burning movies.
and there is no way to get anydvd for free.,by buying the program will help to pay the developers to keep updating the program so ye can keep burning those movie ye are doing now..

I don't think anyone was getting angry, just informing you there are guidelines we have to go by and not asking for pirated materials is one of them. In other words, you were being informed for your own benefit so you wouldn't get into trouble on down the road. Thank you would have been a better response than "don't get mad". Now you know not to solicit pirated materials so as not to get your account suspended.

CloneDVD 2 copies movies to create unparalleled picture quality DVD backups, whether it’s the main title you’re copying or the complete DVD. CloneDVD will compress long footage at high speed to the highest of quality using specialised transcoding technology, allowing you to select your audio and language settings and also the final target size. Easy for even the novice user, CloneDVD’s intuitive Filmstrip assistant guides you through all the available configuration settings, allowing you to choose which chapters to include and offering the option to trim individual chapters.

A visual quality bar shows how your configuration choices affect the quality of the final copy. Note that copying protected DVDs also requires AnyDVD.

    CloneDVD 2 guide

Now, CloneDVD 2 's basic user interface is very, very clean and simple. There are no preferences available to tweak, no difficult selections on front page, etc. Just three main buttons and that's about it

warning do not install virtual clone drive
Virtual CloneDrive works and behaves just like a physical CD/DVD drive, however it exists only virtually. Image files generated with CloneDVD or CloneCD can be mounted onto a virtual drive from your hard-disk or from a network drive and used in the same manner as inserting them into a normal CD/DVD drive.

Probably the best virtual drive software, Virtual CloneDrive allows you to enjoy the freedom of a virtual drive and is completely free.

    From one newbie to another...

Hold on to those keys in case you have to do a reinstall or the like. I tried Anydvd and Clone during the trial phase and was very happy with both. In the last few days, have not been able to use them due to some other software conflicts.

Obviously when you purchased Anydvd, you got the bundle deal prices and hence the keys.

I am back to DVD Decpyrt and DVD Shrink which were free and am quite happy with the work they are doing now. No conflicts with other software on PC. Decrypt is out there still on the web...just have to search for it. I would see you the site if I can find it.

It has really helped me alot reading the post and yes posting questions that may seem rather silly but you live and learn right?
Take some time to browse thru the questions for newbies as it can really help. Good luck
