Hi there ive been reading forums and tutorials for the last 2 days straight, and i still cant get this working. I bought an xbox a few years back and my friend hacked it by softmod (i think thats what it is, it was a few solders and a save game exploit i think). its currently running BIOS evx.d6.ef.purplev1 Kernel 1.00.4817.01 dashboard evolution-x anyway i recently decided that i would upgrade the hdd from the 20gb original to a 300gb seagate. After reading about a million diferent tutorials i finally managed to setup the hdd, the only problem is it only recognises up to 137GB. So my bios doesnt seem to support LBA48. So ive now read a hell of a lot about flashing bioses. I am wondering if i can upgrade my bios to executor2 or should i just upgrade the evox bios? all i really want to do is get the HDD up and upgrade to xbmc from xbmp and put a nice skin on it. Do i need to do the whole save game exploit again (as i no longer have a save game card or the original game) or is there a way i can just create a cd to run and upgrade the bios?? please, your help is much appreciated.
sounds to me like a TSOP Flash not a softmod because softmods have no soldering involvled but you can try and update to the newest EvoX dashboard out and see if that helps.....if it is a softmod though you just need to upgrade your EvoX dash.....
