Okay, so here's the deal. In my PC I have an nvidia geForce 6800 (AGP.) In a comp I found at the dump I ripped out a lovely PCI ATI Rage Pro. I've been trying to get the two to work together at the same time for a whillleee now... Any suggestions?

What I am getting right now is fine output from my Nvidia card and an error msg on my monitor plugged into the ATI card saying that there is a frequency error.

    Thanks, Moomoo2

    Moomoo2,

Hi, you must have an SLI motherboard with PCI Xpress 16x and identical GFX cards, PCI is not the same as PCI Xpress. That's the answer to your frequency error... For more info on SLI read this http://www.slizone.com/page/slizone_faq.html

You can do it, but I've never bothered, I think there can be problems if you use the AGP and the 1st PCI slot, so maybe use the second PCI slot for the PCI card.
You could also try to use the reset function on the monitor with the sync problem.

*Shrug* I gave up on this... Ran out of time to play with it. I have this strange hunch its just old ati not playing nicely with nVidia. Note: Both cards work perfectly when in comp alone.
