i have dvd fabdecrypter, dvd shrink and dvddecrypter, the whole process works great but the question i have is should it take approx,2-3 hours to finish the process?
Well depending on your specs maybe. What are they? Let's check and make sure you are in dma mode and not the slow pio mode also. Here's a guide if needed: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038
Yes. CPU speed and RAM are the key factors in how fast the system will run transcoding. There's other factors, but those are the main ones. So, supply the system specs if you want a time guesstimate.
i will do the best i can.system model-e-1800 300 se ltd.bios version-intel corp-1500 mhz pentium 3.windows xp home edition.processor-intel celeron 1200 mhz.512 mb physical.c:\ntfs 80 gb.d:\dvdrw drw-3s163.e:\dvdrw ide 1008.hard drive-wdc wd800jb-00jjco.creative sb audigy 2zs 5.1,i will give you this until i figure out the cpu..o.k.
From what I can decipher I'm thinking 1-1/2 hr approx. Make sure your are not multi tasking and shut down any unncessary processes. You might also try disconnecting from the interent and shutdown any virus protection. Turn turn back on when done.
i had the same problem then brobear came to the rescue i changed my ide wire and made my dvd burner master and my cd a slave and bam back up one of my dvd's in 17 mins now instead of two hours oops forgot to add went out and added 2 gigs of ram to my comp
o.k.i did what you said and guess what?i have it down to 45 minutes to do the process,i am shooting for 20-25 minutes now,i have a question for anybody with good buying skills, when you buy parts or software for your comp, where do you tend to find the best experiences at? the internet or stores!can you give me some help with that! like for example amazon.com-office max etc...and thank's so much for the help brobear&binkie7...
Rob1026 Way to go. Now you won't have to worry about running out of usable RAM. 512MB is getting to be a real world minimum nowadays for an XP system. Even with 1GB I was running out of RAM unless I turned some background apps off. Instead of that, I put in 2GB and don't have to worry about it. PAPISTAN I get software all over the place, online and at retail outlets. Mostly online and no particular place. I just shop for the best deal on the app I want. With a lot of programs, you can download a trial to see if the app is going to do what you expected. BTW, you're welcome.
well hey that's the way i do it to i just thought there was something i might be missing out on,just thought i would try, thank's anyway my friend.
