xbox wont play backed up dvd's ???

i have a standard xbox {not 360 }with the samsung drive in it..it will not recognize a backup dvd movie..it tells me to insert a dvd movie or game.. my backups are all done on taiyo blanks...it wont recognize - or +r... whats the deal?...this is my second xbox and the first one i had played them fine until it crapped out.

 

just use XBMC to watch the VOB Files on the Disc......

 

is your Xbox modded?
If so do you have a program on it called DVD RegionX
that is a great movie player
Also the mentioned XBMC works well
I assume since they worked on the other one that they would be burned correctly. But certain drives just have more problmes then others reading back ups.

 

nah,,it's not modded..the movies play on everything else..what is xbmc?

 

oh then forget it my burned movies wouldnt play on my unmodded xbox...

 

The xbox does read backup movies whether it's modded or not

try doing a 1 to 1 copy of the disc again using nero 7
as sometimes depending on what software was used to burn the disc in the first place they dont work properly on some xboxes but work fine on others.

 

i used any dvd/clone dvd...i think i used shrink in the past.

mine just wouldnt work i dunno but everything works fine now....

 

still wont work with nero7

 

the xbox is just picky try some different types of dvd-r.......
