my friend just offered me a mini-digital camcorder for 20 sterling...

    with usb cable,but it dosen't have an SD card yay or nay?

    3.1 megapixels
    4x digital zoom
    5 glasses lens
    tv playback
    320x240 resolution

    Well the resolution isn't very good.That's less resolution than a dvd.The zoom is subpar as well.If money isn't an option for you then look into brands like Samsung,Sony,Panasonic,JVC. They offer much better features as well as resolution.

    unfortunatly money is quite a big option,I won't even think of buying a camcorder if he hadn't offered, all I really need to know is how much would a camcorder like this retail for approx?

    Just how much in American money? You can pick up a nice Camcorder for $350.00. Much, much better specs than the one you are thinking about.

    What brand is it? You can get a good Sony for about $300 with much better specs than the one you are interested in.I say if you have to pay at least $50more for a better brand then go for it as you will be better off.

    Well you would be better off with a better brand that has better specs but if that is the most you are willing to spend then I guess go for the one your friend is trying to sell you.You won't be able to do much as far as saving and transfering data but hey if you are comfortable with it then go for it.
