hey everyone, i'm not to sure if i'm on the right forum but i hope you can help. i've got a compaq presario r3030ea and it's got digital sound. i've been trying to find a way of turning it off when i turn my computer on. does anyone have any idea. much appreciated. daniel
hello daniel, I asume you dont want to turn off your sound all together(bios option)?,cause that way you wont be able to listen to music, and have sound with video clips ! the suggestion i would make is: or, in configuration in the sound option eighter turn off the sound, or, you can just disable the windows boot sound! note: in case you would turn off sound completely, i would recomend, instead of turning off the sound in the bios, right click my computer ---> hardware --->manage devices , the rightclick the audio device and disable!! hope this helps retro
