Iam going on family trips and loading up, dvd+rw with ratdvd movies.

It seems like playing ratdvd files rather than DVD in the ROM drive uses less power???

    Whats your opinion?

the ratdvd image takes up a much smaller amount of space on a dvd (about 1/8th the space). So your computer has to spend much less time spinning the dvd-rom drive, thus increasing your battery life. If you put the ratdvd files on your laptops hard drive, you'd see an even greater improvement in battery life.
