DvD Encrypter will not read my copy of Stealth.It constantly retries but nothing-does it have something to do with Sony and what can I do?I am very new to this and yes I have spent hours reading this forum tring to find help.
Use dvdfab decrypter instead to rip. http://dvdidle.com/free.htm Free and still updated. DVD Decrypter (i think that's the one your referencing) can not handle this movie without some help. DVDDecrypter (not Encrypter) isn't updated anymore..... try another free ripping program that is like DVDDecrypter, called DVDFab Decrypter: http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm Sony ARccOS encryption is what's stopping DVDD to read your disk. DVDFab Decrypter will do the job!

Well-I had a successful backup,but now it's too big too burn w/Nero. Now what do I do? It took so long becuase my grandbaby showed up-she is 3.Please Help!
@fordman54 Now you'll need to 'shrink' it. If you have the full version of Nero you can open those files in Recode to compress and burn onto a single layer DVD. Or you can use Shrink. Sorry I didn't reply earlier-I started a new job today. I will double check everything and read that guide-this happened to Stealth and National Treasure . Nero says they are too big for my disc and I did run thru Shrink ok(or so I thought--LOL)I will report back as soon asI can-Many Thanks!!
@fordman54 Not a problem! Let us know how it goes! By removing some of the audios as the guide will point out should help you w/ the compression.
When you use DVDShrink and burn with Nero, go to edit and then preferences and set Nero to start automatically, then it's is real simple. When I first used DVDShrink I took out languages and audio first and then clicked on movie only and found out my compression was not that great. Easily fixed, just click on compressions again and removed audio and languages that were added back in. Then you shouldn't have any problems. Good Luck!
Well,I have come up with the perfect solution for me that really works.I start with DVDFab Express,then Shrink(setting to DVD5 was a big part of the problem!)Then I burn with DVD Decrypter.I haven't had a problem at all.It took a lot of research in this forum as well and evrybody has been a big help.Thanks ever so much!!!
Also-I remembered to take care of the language issue in the beginning,so that was never a problem.I was following a guide that said to set for custom DVD size.Obviously,THAT did not work(LOL)!!
