I have my gamecube modded and im playing my favorite game Legend of Zelda on Snex9x 1.43, but the problem is that the game isn't saving my progress. I did the manual save with the SRAM and i followed the suggestion listed in the guide: " Will bring you into the management system where you can Save or Load your current game progress. You may SAVE you game progress at any time, but when loading your SAVE please reload your game, load your SAVE and then play the game. If you try loading your SAVE after the game starts you may run into
some nasty problems." I did that and it is still not saving my progress, it just keeps reverting back to the first time I saved it and it never updates my progress. Anyone have any suggestions. I really want to play this game but it is obviously useless without the save feature. Thanks.

The only game i've been playing with it (so far) is FF6. The saving has been working fine for me. Here is how I do it.

1: Start up disk without memory card inserted.

2: After disk starts, insert memcard.

3: Choose rom I want to play. Play it until I reach a save point, and save normally.

    [bold]Or...[/bold]

4: If I already have a save for that particular game, I load the rom, exit to menu, then go to the save management area, load my save for that game, then return to the game and begin playing.

5: When playing the game, after each time I save (in game) I exit to the emulator menu, then save to SRAM.

When you save to SRAM all you're doing is storing the info to your memcard that would normally, in an SNES cartridge, be saved to the internal cartridge memory. Since a rom doesn't have the built-in memory (although it thinks it does), you have to save that to your memorycard instead.

Just remember, after each time you save on your game, exit to the emulators menu, and save the SRAM. Each time. Otherwise it will only save your progress up to the last time you saved your SRAM.

Ok i finally get the problem. I was saving to the SRAM before I was saving in-game, I didn't think it mattered but i'm glad you pointed out that it is the other way around. Thanks malcdogg.

Very cool. Glad to hear it's working, man. Besides the saving issues, it's a great emulator.

Well, I'd suggest you take it to an Xbox forum, if you can't get it to work on your Xbox. Seeing how, you know, this is a GAMECUBE forum. Just a bit of advice, you know?
