Here's my situation: I bought an internal DVD writer that came with OEM version 6.6.0.14. I connect that DVD drive to my laptop through an enclosure. Unfortunately you have an OEM version of Nero and it doesnt come with that feature, I would go to Nero site and download package 2 from Nero6 and see if that works. Heres a link to try http://www.nero.com/nero6/eng/nero-up.php

yep, that's what i did when I installed .25... 1> removed all traces of my old Nero by add/remove 2> then used the General-CleanTool (General-CleanTool.zip)to make sure there's really nothing 3> connected my enclosed DVD 4> did a fresh install using the .25 installer: NVE-3.1.0.25_no_yt.exe Here's what happened: http://img77.imageshack.us/img77/1761/nero30su.jpg === i'll try using the NeroSuite.exe (Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe) this time... i guess this is not an OEM version... buzz you in a bit after the install wish me luck... cross fingers... thanks a bunch!
If you click on NeroVision Express I think you'll find you should have what you need. Also if you wish to post a picture then preceed the image with followed by [img] at the end but place a slash / in front of last img.(inside the brackets) and you get this [img]http://img77.imageshack.us/img77/1761/nero30su.jpg
no such luck i guess it has something to do with my OEM serial number oh well --- re: hotlinking the jpegs... in some forums, it's not allowed, so i just posted the href i guess they allow it here...
@syxguns,I use photobucket. @aritch176 , Have you tried not using your s/n...just the link I provided...it appears your s/n messes things up.

That original link I gave you you only had to d/l PACKAGE 2...nothing else. So go through all the motions again, uninstall, run clean tool, d/l package 2 and then see what you can do with package 2 alone. Dont try to d/l anymore than package 2 at this stage. Looking at the blue Nero picture it shows you have 6.6.0.14 installed...you have to get rid of it before d/l package 2.
tried your last tip... 1> General-CleanTool.zip everything 2> restarted 3> connected DVD writer 4> installed only: NVE-3.1.0.25_no_yt.exe 5> asked for the serial number 6> put the OEM s/n 7> no Nero StartSmart 8> run NeroVision Express SE 9> Make DVD link still not there i have a feeling NeroVision Express is not "detecting" the DVD drive since it's in an USB enclosure...
