SLI is good if you plan on using 2 video cards. The question I have is when do you plan to do the new build? AMD will be releasing their new AM2 (940 pin) processors soon. These will be able to use DDR2 ram.

Or you can wait and save up even more money and jump in when the new AM3 comes out in 2007.

Not really that much, unfortunately. AM2 will be able to run DDR2 memory but the increase is not all that significant from the S939. Go to www.AnandTech.com and on the first page (you'll have to scroll and search)you'll see what I am talking about. Seriously, if you can hold off do so.

By the way, unless you are planning on spending the money on 2 video cards SLI is a waste of money; many say it is a waste because the increase you get in performance isn't worth the cost.

Go to NewEgg.com and search for both of them and read the reviews. Plus they will give you many of the mobo specs.

EPoX 9NPA+Ultra is a very goos board to consider.

Yes, all three of the boards we are talking about are Socket 939. What cpu (chip) do you have?
