Immediately after I got hijacked by bleeping theguardservices, I began to encounter the following 2 error messages when I launched any Microsoft Office 2000 application: #1-NORTON ANTIVIRUS 2006: "Please wait while windows configures Norton AntiVirus 2006." and #2-NORTON ANTIVIRUS 2006: "Norton Antivirus 2006 does not support the repair features, please uninstall and reinstall." Of course I did not uninstall Norton as i figured this was trickery on the part of the hell spawn theguardservices. What do you think? Any solutions other than uninstall? Sincerely, willie4
I am not sure what you have as far as remover tools, but before formatting your computer you should download Ad-Aware at lavasoft.com. You should also download HijackThis at Hijack-This.net. Run the Ad-Aware first. Make sure to run it from safe mode. When you are in safe mode your start up programs are not running. After you run the Ad-Aware then run the HijackThis in safe mode. Do not make any changes if you are not familiar with the problems. Post your HijackThis file here and I will try to determine what may still need to be removed. Good Luck. P.S. After running the Ad-Aware restart your computer and see if you are still having the same problem before you run the HijackThis.
