question on video card

    Hi everyone, I just installed my evga 7900gt video card into my pc, but it keeps coming up my screen once i boot my pc, it keeps sayin insufficent power and it kicks the card down a lil bit it says to keep it from damagin the card or the pc. MY ? is is my powers supply not enough i checked alot of times and it says there was enough power for it. OR did i hook it up wrong. other than that the card is workin. imo wow what a loud fan. well anyone that can help me would be appricated greatly. Thanx

    That should give you enough power. How are your temperatures for the motherboard and cpu? However, it could be that you are having a power supply issue in that it is failing.

    is the videocard supposed to be plugged into the psu??

    yes it is supposed be plugged into the psu which I did already. Infact there was 2 connectors that go into the psu, and i plugged them both in like the instructions told me to do so. Temperatures on everything is good. Cpu and mobo temps are good same with the video card.

    once i play a game it starts to heat up a lil bit after 10 mins or so of game play the card heats up to about 78degress celsuis. My neighbor had mentioned since the first time I hooked it up i only put the video card onto one psu connector and turned my pc on and than got that error message. I than connected the 2nd one and got the same error message. He said it might be right now but the error code needs to be reset. However I think i am gona give the place that i bought the card at a call in the morning and see what they have to say.
