    Hey

I've got an AMD Athlon 64 3300+ with a gig of DDR ram, and no real video card for games and stuff. Dungeon Siege runs fine but I'm thinking of getting Dungeon Siege2 and I might want to get a good video card before I start the game

So, does anyone have recommendations for a good *cheap* video card for games? I'm thinkin' $35/$40 tops because I'm totally cheap. But whatever you think eh?

    thanks

I think you need to scan ebay for a bargain to get anything reasonable for that money.
Otherwise you're looking at an Nvidia 6200 or ATI 9200 card, neither of which are that good.

    thanks

I just realized the only slot I have open is a PCI slot, so it looks like I've got a motherboard issue before I can get a new card

I was in the same situation dude - i was lucky enough to find a 6600 turbo, good card for the cash. If you get a new motherboard get PCI express slots (probably all you can get these days) or you'll be a sorry sorry boy lol. I'd save extra though and get a 6800GT - best card for the cash, it can run nearly all good DX9 games on high (even F.E.A.R!!!), it's worth the extra expenditure thats for sure.
