i put a new harddrive in and a friend tried to set windows and somehow he made the hard drive dissapear. what did he do to me?
He may have partationed it wrong. The drive should have come with a CD. Put the CD in and boot the computer. Follow the directions to set it up for Windows. When it's done. Do the same with the Windows CD. Then you'll be good to go.
I have a harddrive headache of my own. I hope that someone on here can assist me. I have a Western Digital SDC2500 JS-00MHBO 250gb SATA-150 8mb cache harddrive that I benchmarked using Sis SOftware benchmark and it had a total benchmark of 54mb/s and I know that is way below the optimal levels. Can any one assist me on how I can improve the performance of my harddrive?
Do you have the latest drivers installed for you SATA drive? Check with your motherboard manufacture to see.
