Hi! I've just downloaded my first xbox 360 game. It's only .iso file.
I can't seem to find the proper ss file anywhere on the internet.
I've tried all of these;
http://ss.softmodfiles.net/index.php?q=s...=PAL&game=gears
but not one matches the .iso's one. In the xbox360 merger both boxes are red, like so; http://shrani.si/?ssmergeqdrn.jpg
Is there an easier way to burn the game? Or does anybody know any other internet site where I could find a working ss for this game?

I download my games from Newzbin.com , just search xbox360, and all the games so far have already been patched. All I had to do was burn them , very little hassle for decent downloads.

the only thing you need inside the XTREME_XP_PACK is ISOBULDER, now it is included with latest Maximus-Garyopa firmware pack.
for the SS, you can extract it directly of your original 360 game (instructions included in maximus-garyopa firmware) or you can download it over the net, on this website or anyone you like. just remember you need SS for the right region matching your console and/or the game you just made a backup of.

Hey guys. I'm wondering whether or not if I should buy an xbox 360. I read somewhere that the new revisions are somehow glued and you can't take it apart w/o messing it up. Is that true? Also is there cracked firmware for the new revisions if I but one soon? Or no? I just want to be able to play burned. Don't care about online.

Hey is it safe to do the firmware to ur own xbox360 by ur self.... ?
well have n e one did it by them self.. pls voice up and tell me how to do the FST(the thing) well.. please.. i m desperate.. i got my xbox 360 and i cant afford to buy those expensive titles man...

Hi guys having a few probs trying to burn Fifa 07 i downloaded this as 4 rar files wwhich i unziped all into one folder and now in that folder i have 4 files which are 1=sp-f07 dvd file 1kb 2=sp-f07 image file 7,395,392 kb 3=msinfo 4=sfv file 2 kb ive tryed to use clone cd but when i click on the number 1=sp-f07 dvd file a error comes saying error opening file layerbreak=1913760 any ideas guys

Have you tried opening the '.dvd' file using notepad to see what info is on the file? The only 2 files you need to bother about are the image/iso file and the .dvd file. Make sure the "layerbreak=1913760"

Yes i did that not to worry now as i have done it using imgburn and changing the layerbreak to 1913760 and using dvd infopro to change drive to dvd rom just about to try another game

If you get a good download you can keep the .dvd file and just change the name to match the name of the image / iso file in future downloads saves a bit of time.

BUT I AM HAVIN TROUBLE DOWNLOADING CLONE CD, ITS ASKING 4 PAYMENT. CAN U GET ME A SITE WHERE I CAN THE PROGRAM FOR FREE.

I got my ssmerger and Clonecd from newzbin.com, monthly subscription of $14 for unlimited downloads this is where i get my 360 games from all pre-patched no problems. Hope this helps.

Hi guys... I'm new to the xbox 360, only bought it on boxing day!
Had a bash at flashing it last night.... Success!!!
Couple of questions im not sure on after reading the forums.
1. I have a dismantled dvd drive connected to my pc to rip an original game using the hotswap trick and wxripper. All seemed to work fine when using the Matrix 8gb dvd as my swap disc!
I now have an iso file of project gotham racing 3. I now want to burn this back to a blank dual layer dvd. Can i do a straight burn with clonecd or similar, or do i need to be messing with the ss.bin and other programs???
2. I have a backup of gears of war that is working fine on my 360. How do I make another copy of this disc (already a copy itself)? I realise that my standard dvd drive will not read it, but can I simply use the hotswap trick again to make a 2nd backup or is there another method??

you didn't get anything from newzbin, newzbin is merely a usenet indexing service...they only serve xml files...in order to make newzbin useful, you also need usenet access. most ISPs provide usenet access to their customers, but (and it's a BIG BUTT):
1) their retention prolly sux
2) they prolly don't carry the groups you'll be interested in, ie, alt.binaries.games.xbox360
3) some put a cap on how much you can download and some cap your download speeds
so, you're best bet is to go w/ a premium usenet provider, such as giganews (http://www.giganews.com/) or newshosting (http://www.newshosting.com/)

Thanks for your $0.02 worth but wasn't really required. I get unlimited downloads for $14.99 and as far as I can tell using my 8meg download connection the speed isn't capped. Thanks anyway food for thought about other newsgroups.

yep, just clarifying for readers that you can't download from newzbin. you're most likely using a premium usenet provider for usenet downloading, correct?

Yes your quite correct. I use newshosting.com which is very good, my mistake newshosting costs $14.99 per month and newzbin costs 25 pence per week. So far I've managed to get what I want searching newzbin for xbox360. Hope I didn't confuse anyone.

so i did all the steps and put the game in the xbox 360 and it loads up with a screen in different languages and says "to play this game please insert it into an xbox 360" it says this in all languages and treats it like a dvd, the dvd controls are there at the bottom but i can't do anything. anyone scene this or know what to do? thanks

Hey just wondering if anyone knew what page had the link to the Video of some guy modding his Xbox 360 I can't find that video anymore. It was really easy to follow and better than having to stop to read then continue like on the PDF link. thanks alot

You dont need to change the booktype on the pioneer 111d, itll burn the games fine, i update firmware eveytime it comes out just ot be on the safeside though.

Can you burn xbox360 games to DVD-R DL disc, or does it has to be DVD+R DL discs? I would like to know because i have a spindel of 50 DVD-R DL discs
