    i found an old dell lattitude laptop with a serial port for updating boxes.2nd hand laptops in computer shops only 2 glad 2 get rid of.

    lads can anyone help please. i just got a new starview box fresh from the factory so to speek,, but even after i scanned in the chanells i cant get into the 1570 menu??/ any ideas?

    Apologies TAFSIR. I did take it a bit personally, I'll blame it on the early hour I had to be in work today, especially when it's about 20C outside.

    I do feel sorry for the guy. I actually have my dead box in work with me, trying to determine if it's the power supply, as apparently they have died in SV boxes in the past.

    Hi, loaded v3.0 0n genuine starview with codes installed,everthing working ok, just had bad or scrambled channel flash up a few times for approx 10 secs and reverted back to viewing ok noticably when England were playing wednesday night lol.anyone else had same problem ?

    That is fairly common, although it does seem to depend on what area you are in. Many people report no problems at all.

    guys i have been reading another few forums , and it looks like the clone freindly 300ee is NOT SO SAFE, as alot of people have been complianing there clone receivers have stated dieing with this SO CALL freindly file, so make of this what you want, so if you guys of this on your receiver from the last few days , KEEP A WATCHOUT ,

    Hi guys. More info, from another forum.

    This other site are even advising their customers to get rid of v3, and revert back to 2.57 / 2.58. If you want to read it, PM me and I'll send you the link.

    It does also mention elsewhere that there seem to be several factors involved, including eeproms, power packs etc.

    Please don't shoot the messenger, I'm just passing on info that I find, do what you will with it.
    By the way, the info is not from W*****d.

    the new v4.00ee file helps with the freezing problem you have m8,
    get from satdownloads, as the file (v4.00) on this site is no good,

    & where do you think the so call clone freindly 300ee file come from m8
    most like from another forum site, or do you think this site wrote the firmware file for this site only
