I have a Sony CCD-TRV138 camcorder and its not digital so I need something to hook it up to the computer and take the video off the tape. I dont know the exact name of what I need so somebody tell me the exact name and tell me where to get it from.

If your camcorder has the yello, red and white plugs on, it should be quite simple.

Depends how much you want to spend and how powerfull your computer is.
This card http://www.hauppauge.com/pages/products/data_pvr150.html will do it for you and basically you need a Composite Video A/V Lead to connect it up with (yelow red and white plugs on you camcorder)

You can get any cheap TV card with composite input which will be cheaper, but they rely on your pcs power for the encoding.

    Hope this helps.

You can also use a Dazzle Digital Video Creator 90 with pinnacle software. It'll take a vcr or camcorder connect. with L-R-V connecting pins(RCAtype) paid around $50USD. Gets analog to digital.

    edit: it connects via USB

You have to get a Y connector to connect the audio leads into the audio jack on the Hauppauge. I have the 350 model, but it is the same on the 150.
