Just got comcast 6meg service installed today. Using a P2P netwrok but my maximum download seems to be around only 10kb/s. Anywhere online I can use apps or websites to test my connection and tweak the speeds.

There's quite a few router/network connection tips as well as a program to tweak your connection speed to it's fullest bandwidth.

Speakeasy is a good site to test your connection speed to different servers.

If I were you I would look at a BT client like Bitcomet/Bitlord.

I have a 512kb connection and am getting speeds up to 58/60 kb/s on good downloads.

Take a look at the following link

    Hope it helps.

went to dslreport.org and speedtest site. Tweak some of my registries so we will see if this will improve the speed. I am about to test some more. I know that cable high speed connection depends on the quality of the connnection, how many people in your area are on the same company connection and other factors. I have read that having a good router can increase your speed as well. Is this true and how does the router do this?

well did test and speed is fluctuating but the highest test result I have gotten was 4.81 mb/s. Yesterday before I tweaked, I got 3.6mb/s at the highest. Even my upload went up a bit but it is still to damn slow. Only 380kb/s.

Oh checked this out. I sign up and get comcast high speed for 57.95 per month and I signed for six months. Today I see an add on tv for a deal with comcast and compusa for 19.99 for six months. Man I feel like some one fingered me in the most uncomfortable place you can have fingered.
