Alright had a question on batch mode of DVD-RB+CCE

When I do a DVD that is a full DVD9 disc on its own, it will take around 3 hours to do the DVD. Now if I do a batch of DVD's (3 of them) It takes close to 15 Hours to complete all 3 disc.

What I dont understand is if a full DVD9 disc takes 3 hours to complete on its own then it should only take around 9 hours to complete 3 disc in batch mode. But it is taking up to 5 more hours to encode. Total of 15 hours to complete all 3 DVD's.

It isnt that much of a problem I was just wondering why it would take that much more time to do a batch of DVD's.

in order to answer your question I would have to know what your computer specs are? how much ram, how much Hard drive space, what computer prosessor you have! My movies usually run from 86mins to 155mins using CCE and they don't vary at all using Batch! Soooooo it might be that your Ram, HD space and computer is being taxed trying to do the DVD as it's running out of space! or something like that.

    P4 3.2GHz
    1GB of ram
160GB IDE HDD only 80GB used

Alot of the movies I do are TV episode 7GB+ DVD's which are almost full DVD's. I do 3PASS CCE which will uasly take around 2 1/2 to 3 hours to encode and complete.

When it is a movie DVD that is around 6GB it will only take me around 2 hours to complete 3PASS CCE.

But when I use the Batch mode it is taking close to 5 hours per movie to complete.

I did Home Improvement season 1 disk 1 with ProCoder2 and then I did the same DVD with CCE....... check out the results:

    http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/339288

with ProCoder2 it took 277mins! with CCE took only 157mins! I use Multiple Encoder Processes for Pro2 and still got a very long time! I only do 2 passes with CCE ..... get great times and great quality!

I had a bad HDD that is why the times where so long. Changed hard drive and am getting faster encoding times in batch mode and when doing a single project.
