I recently acquired a movie that features subtitles in an unknown language. Playing the video in media player classic shows these subtitles, but in vlc the subtitles fail to show. I would like to disable the subtitles in media player classic. The movie is encoded in DivX 3 Low Motion. I tried changing the output to overlay in hopes that the fact that it doesnt support subtitles would help. Also, atempting to use media player classic subtitle controls fails--that is to say that I am unable to change the position on the screen of the subtitles.
If the subs appear in overlay mode, then MPC's internal subtitle render is not being used. Check what filters are in use.
