bsod, stopping during loadup of windows, if onboard video than weird dots or splotches on screen as it uses main ram for video.
Simple check if you have multiple sticks. Turn off your comp, remove one. Turn it on, if it has the same probs, do it over again. If it still has probs with either stick. Try cleeaning the contacts on the sticks with an art eraser to remove oxidization. If that doesn't work, probably something else.
