I'm not totally sure if this should go in here, but since its still building a pc... I'm going to start making my own pc case. And what i have in mind will probably need to depend on factors such as mountin of PCI cards. Now, what im looking for is an extension of a PCI slot. Kinda like a cable with male and female ends for a PCI card. I don't know if they even exist, i havent seen any. If anyone can help locate, or even help me to make my own, that would be pretty awesome. Otherwise, i will have to change my modding ideas... which would be a shame! I can solder, and locating cables and bits an bobs shoulnt be a worry. Oh, and i might start a new thread with how my case is coming once i start going
Well... i have this idea for a PC case in mind. But, where the PCI cards go, are not going to be inline with the PCI slots on the mobo. So, by using / making an extention, i can have the card wherever inside the case.
the case slots always match the board slots. besides which a pci slot has about 120 pins on it so do you know how thick it is going to be?
make the slots of case match those of board as you will run into problems with cable as noise in the signal lines, finding the pci board slot connectors(not motherboard but card) & connecting 120 wires twice.
