I'm trying to make 2 avi files (cd1 & cd2) one. VirtualDub says: The audio streams do not share a common sampling rate. What's wrong and what to do? I have xvid and divx codecs.

your avi's might have mp3 audio which is in encoded in Variable BitRate (VBR), this can cause problems. I have not done this, but try extracting the audio of both sorces as .wav files, then re-encode with Contant Bitrate (CBR), then mux the audio back with the video. now that both videos have a CBR you might be able to join them.

check this link on VRB mp3 audio
