I recently bought this model and have managed to get it to work. Was wondering if it can also be connected to a pc through a fierwire card. I tried it and the pc seems to recognize it via a beep but then it does not appear at all as an available drive on my pc. I was hoping I could also use it as an external DVD reader and writer. I went to the Liteon site and they do not have information on this model. I have a feeling it is no longer supported. thanks to any kind soul who can help.

Try it on a system with a video card with VIVO. I think the system needs to support video out.

Excuse my naivete...but what is VIVO? I probably dont have it but should I try connecting the pc to the LITE-ON as an analogue device..i.e. the way I would connect an analogue camcorder to it? (Of course I will have to check if I have viceo out on my pc...or is there a card I can buy for this?

[bold]V[/bold]ideo [bold]I[/bold]n [bold]V[/bold]ideo [bold]O[/bold]ut (VIVO) The name explains the function.

You need to get a mod to move your thread to the hardware section.
