Hey guys. Wow, long time no see. It's been a while i've visited afterdawn.com, daymn. Sure missed it alot. Ok, down to business. My laptop got smashed between a door and the divider. Now, everything is operational, boots fine, everything is cool, except the screen has a massive blue spot on the bottom screen, with what appears to be blue ink. As a result, i cannot see anything in that area, or any else that has these blue blotches. I also have cracks throughtout the screen. It's a toshiba satelitte laptop, about 3-4 years old. I just wanted to know, how i could get this repaired. Im guessing the whole laptop would need to be repaired, in that, i'd have to send it back to Toshiba canada? :/
Any replies would be greatly appreciated! Thanks a bunch.

Getting that screen replaced would cost more than what the laptop is worth probably. If you are up for it, scour Ebay for the same model with a bad mobo or something like that. You could probably get it pretty cheap, and take the screen out and swap it. Swapping out the LCD is not that big of a job. Maybe a bit tedious, but not too bad. I picked up 2 LCD screens for one of my laptops for about $46 each. Super deal, just need to find them.

    Good luck.

Sweeet!! Thanks for the advice! Really appreciate it! Btw, i sorta knew that replacing the screen would, in most cases, cost an arm and a leg, and scouring ebay..not a bad idea. Not bad at all.

    Thanks alot,
