I used this site and was able to download ffdshow to fix the problems I was having playing AVI files. Now however, I cannot play streaming video from websites. I though the problem may have been ffdshow, so I installed DIVX, still no streaming video. I'm stuck. I can save the files and play them later, I just cannot play them right from the site. I get a recurring error message of C00D1197. I hope someone can help me fix this problem.

Try saving these files to your computer then play them. Also are you sure it is an AVI file that is being streamed because i have never come across a streaming avi file.
