WIRELESS ROUTER QUESTION.

    Hello I have a wireless router at my home. I noticed that people in my neighborhood can use my router, therefore a free internet connection while slowing down my connection. Is there a way to lock my connection so only I can use it?

    you should be able to go into you routers configuration screen and setup the security password

    What router do u have??

    start->run->cmd->ipconfig->gateway address-> type it in IE and allow only ur mac address if ur the only one using it.

    I have a D-Link 802.11 G 2.4 GHZ wireless router, I still don't know how to lock my router so only computers in my home can use it. I have 2 desktops and a 1 notebook computer

    yes, but you need to enable WEP.
