Moniter Issue

    I don't know when this started or how it was caused but here goes:

    Well I open certain programs that go into fullscreen, the screen screws up (I don't know how to explain it, the image seems stretched but I can't make out what's what) and the moniter starts to emit a burning odour. I usually shut it off after this. There are no other problems with the moniter when I do normal stuff and it seems to work fine.

    Example of a program that triggers this: Worms Armageddon.

    However, when I play video files in fullscreen this doesn't occur.

    If you are smelling ozone, or burning plastic. Replace the monitor. I don't know the brand or how old it is, but it is a hazard.

    Worms armageddon uses a low res, films won't, so it sounds like your monitor can't accept a low res signal properly. If there's a burning smell, it's faulty, so replace it. Simple.
