FTP help?

    I'm getting so sick of this crap!!!! no matter what I try, no matter what I type in as my Ip adress my retarded computer still can't find my xbox!!!! I'm using a ethernet crossover cable, windows xp, UnleashX as dash and I've tried about 10 Faqs/Walkthroughs that don't do a damn thing... Please...if you want to help dont post a link to another walkthrough...just try to tell me step by step what to type into the "slots" (ex.ip adress)

    I've tried your tut about 3 times already but nothing happended. But im thinking magimech is on the right track here...I can't seem to get my computer to identify my xbox...and unfortuantly I can't even find my network card (whatever that is) =P

    how can i find out what my original IP address was on my xbox before i changed to use the FTP? or will i still be able to sign into xbox live evern tho it was changed
