I currently have 512mb pc3200 DDR 400mhz or ram ,i wanna get a 1gig ,does the ram have to be pc3200 and 400mhz???
so if u get something higher that a 400mhz,would that be better,can you plz explain to me what the pc3200 mean and the 400mhz
PC3200 400Mhz is the speed of the ram your running. That is a quite a good speed so sticking with that should give you good results. And wether you have to get more pc3200 that all depend on your motherboard give me a link of your motherboard and il check it out for you and spec you out some good cheap ram! i've looked around for canadian stores and have found that the four cheapest ones are: the aforementioned pcvonline.com, ncix.com, cancomputer.com and canadacomputers.com. i was just curious about teh compatability. im full rite now with 2x256 mb sticks and am saving up for a new pc. i was just wondering if you knew anything about samsung ram or if i should stick with kinston/corsair/ocz.
i'm actually just south of barrie in lefroy near lake simcoe. haven't dealt with samsung ram & no problems with others.
