what do you think the limits on the ps3's linux os will be

maybe mythtv will be available and all linux games as well

Limitless(well not really but you knowwhat I mean)

I know about the many homebrew games that will be playable!I know if it comes with a full version of linux it's basically a pc out of the box and what a pc it would be with all that power!

I have a feeling linux games will be playable but get this sony says people(homebrew)won't have to pay for the license fee making it available finally for smaller companies can you say red orcastra,what about mods!!!!muhuhahaha

Hummm. It's a interesting idea ,but I don't think it will happen I'm not as familiar with WINE though as you might be.Isn't it unix only(I know cross platform but still).http://www.winehq.com/

But It would be funny as hell to see people running ms pc games(halo)on a ps3.If this happens it would be crazy and because ms owns all licenses and property to their os I couldn't see it happening.Of coarse it's open source on the other hand!!!!!!I think linux being in millions of homes by 2008 with be a real problem for ms.But this is only if ps3 sells well and it will.

Never mind about will it run on linux my link answered that and it's yes!I knew linux and solaris was based on unix, but also knew there were code differences.

I wanted to add that nintendo is offering a console classics online feature which will allow you to buy there old school games at a price.But with emulators for linux out there(yes they exist)We could play these games on ps3 for free!!!
