Is there no answer to these questions? I have Star Trek III here in PAL.
    1. I mount Pal Image with daemon tools
    2. I edit out the bullshit with shrink and make a new image (I keep all English Subtitles)
    3. I mount new Pal Image with daemon tools
    4. I open NeroVision and add a DVD video files
    4. I add AUTO CHAPTERS but press more button and checking autochapters
    5. I Press next a bunch of times
    6. I go into the video settings and Select 4:3/NTSC/5.1 sound/2-VBR Pass
    7. I then burn to Image yet again
    8. Takes about 3 hours
    9. I mounts new image with daemon tools
    10. I open shrink and removes the bullshit Nero put in there.
    11. I burns the Newly converted STIII: The search for spock
    12. I watches it to find out the subtitles are gone and when the klingons are talking you cannot understand cause the fricken subtitles are gone.

    13. Conclution. HELP ME KEEP THE SUBTITLES as i need them for this movie. Please no NEWBEE answers i want only the solution. Something someone as actually did that worked and never caused and loss in video. Or a NSTC Image with subtitles included. Movie orginaly bought off ebay, wasn't sure if it was PAL or not, asked the guy but of course he had no idea. Anywho Can ya help?

Why go thru all that? Just use IFOEdit.

    Hi Dorman
First thing let's edit the post and remove the email addy (against forum rules) plus who needs more spam!

Yep Nero does take quite awhile for the conversion - mine is usually 3 hrs for almost 4 gig. Nero does a 'true' conversion though.

Try the 'masking' method mentioned by dolphin2.

Or another masking method is vobblanker - this will usually play on most players. Much faster. I've used it for Ebay movies - didn't really see any difference in quality. To have working menus it's more involved. I just do movie/video only.
Here's a link for that one:

But as a side note i went and rented the NSTC versons.....hehe he....I got so fusterated with it.

Did you make sure you edited ALL the IFO's and BUP's ?

You have to change all of them and all the lines within them. If you miss one line, it will make it jumpy like you said. I've used it lots of times for movies and menus without problems.
