Any suggestions on how I can get one song to play completely throughout my dvd video that I am trying to burn?? Also, it would be nice to get different songs for each chapter on my dvd too sometime? Can anyone help me please?
I work with NV4, so NVE may not have some of these abilities. Have you tried putting the music file on it's own audio track for it to play all the way through? You could also put music for each chapter when you edit. I have not found a way to get the chapter marks to show up in the editing timeline, but you could transfer the timecode and split the video at that position to add the music. Now if you are referring to music during menus--different story, but you can add audio files to those. You can also change how long they run before they repeat, but I don't think the music will continue when the video repeats. NVE and NV4 are fairly basic video editing programs. They do more than an expensive program a few years ago, but they are still limited.
By putting the music file on its own track you mean burning it to a cd and going that route???I"m not sure I understand....also, how do I "put music for each chapter when you edit."???? Can you direct me through this please? Thanks for your help!!
Go to the timeline editing window, which is where you go when you select "Edit" a video. There is one Video track and 2 audio tracks. Drag you music file to one of those tracks like you would a video file and it will be added when you burn the project. I believe the easiest way to add music at different chapters would be to split the video in the editing window. Add the music at these splits if you desire. When you go to add chapters, there is a button that will only add chapter marks at the video breaks. One trick you might want to know about NeroVision, is that when you hit play in the editing timeline, it will only play to the video break. If you click the "Film Edge" area, it will turn blue and the video will play without stopping.
Thank you for your help....that's a little too complicated for me though. I tried that at there was no sound at all on my chapters. Now I can't even figure out how to get my chapters to play the original sound they came with??? Any suggestions??
I would think you need to take some time, download the help file and go through it. Practice doing what you need to get done. If you no longer have sound with the original files, in the edit timeline, double click the file and you should see a window open with a setting for volume. Check to make sure it isn't set to 0. You could also probably remove the file and add it again to get back to where you were. Check back after you have experimented some.
